Beep. Beep. Beep. Beeeeeep… “It’s a beautiful day, don’t let it get away…”

Ten minutes later…

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beeeeeep… “It’s a beautiful day, don’t let it get away…”

Rubbing your eyes, you realize you’ve slept in again and it’ll be a rush to get out the door five minutes late, if you’re lucky. Just last night you committed to rise earlier and start your day with God’s Word, but here you are running behind again.

Hey there, Friend!

My name is Trisha. I like my coffee black with the Word wide open first thing in the morning. But sometimes the sprints in life have me skipping the table for a jump start on this race. What I think is an advantage over my time becomes a sacrifice on my heart. And before noon, I’m left worn out, frazzled and trying to catch a breath.

We all want to start the day feeling refreshed, uplifted and inspired, but it’s difficult to find the time. And when the clock is on our side, where do we start?

Welcome to your Grab and Go Devo (that’s short for ‘devotional’). Here you’ll find the Word weaved through my walk with God and other life applications. These bite size posts will take less than 5 of your minutes to read. Take them with you to the restroom if you must!

No more excuses.

My hope is that these will brighten your outlook today like a good ole cup of morning joe! 😉

Oh! And for you planners out there, you can expect to find a new post at least once a week until I unlock the magic of extra time in my schedule.

I’m a good ole fashioned, Mid-Western girl, who grew up around a campfire and the classics of country music. At the age of 11, my life changed around those flames. It only took a spark, and my soul has been burnin for Jesus every since.

There’s many mistakes I’ve made in this lifetime, and covering those is so much more grace and forgiveness from the Father. It is because of God’s love to sacrifice His son and cover my mistakes that I can’t keep quiet the burning passion running through my veins.

Writing about faith, family and friendships is therapeutic for me. When I’m not writing, you can usually find me around a table stirring up hearts with questions, leaning over a medium roast coffee with eager curiosity. That, or my nose may be in several books at one time, also with the token coffee in hand and acoustic melodies in the background.

My health is super important to me, so you’ll catch me often writing about working out or being in the kitchen. I’m a problem solver and like to look for more efficient ways of doing anything. I’m a creative thinker and I love a good challenge!

Volunteering revives life back into my 9-5 schedule. (For more on my career endeavors, visit LinkedIn.) My heart wrecks for mistreated children. In my spare time, I serve as a Court Appointed Child Advocate for children coming out of abusive or neglected homes.

I hope you will be able to relate to parts of my life. My desire is that you walk away from these stories feeling refreshed, mostly laughing and feeling deeply loved.
